Dr. Emily Z. Touloukian, DO elected to the Board of Directors of Community Oncology Alliance (COA)
Coastal Cancer Center continues its community-wide effort to spotlight prostate cancer awareness in the month of September with an upcoming interview on WPDE News Channel 15.
Dr. Lawrence Holt will appear on WPDE’s “Carolina This Week” with Anchor Tim McGinnis and Reporter Joel Allen on Sunday, Spetember 22 to break down the state of prostate cancer in South Carolina men. Not only will Dr. Holt review risk factors that increase the likeliness of prostate cancer in men, he’ll also break down survival rates for the disease when caught early.
Dr. Holt’s interview with McGinnis will air Sunday morning at 11 a.m. on WPDE.
Approximately 3,299 men in South Carolina were diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2010, according to the most recent statistics from the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control. Prostate cancer has become the most commonly diagnosed cancer among men in the Palmetto State, ranking South Carolina fourth in the nation for prostate cancer deaths.
