Dr. Touloukian, Chair-Elect to ASCO State Affiliate Council Executive Subcommittee

We are pleased to announce that Emily Z. Touloukian, DO was elected as Chair-Elect to the ASCO State Affiliate Council Executive Subcommittee. Dr. Touloukian, President of Coastal Cancer Center located in Horry County South Carolina, will begin her three-year term in June of 2023. Previously the Physician Representative on the Executive Subcommittee, Dr. Touloukian continues her work with the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) to collaborate with State Oncology Societies across the country. 

The State Affiliate Council was established in January 2012 to serve as an advisory group to the Board of Directors of the American Society of Clinical Oncology and now the Board of Directors of the Association for Clinical Oncology on issues relating to the State and Regional Affiliates and their members. The ASCO’s mission is to identify unaddressed needs in the oncology community, to disseminate information about ASCO’s public policy priorities to its membership, and to communicate with the collective membership on key shared issues.

Being a productive part of the local, state, and national efforts to advance oncology as a profession and support the community of patients served is a critical part of Coastal Cancer Center’s 40 years of caring. Coastal Cancer Center has four locations in Horry county including full service oncology and hematology facilities in Conway, Loris, Myrtle Beach, and Murrells Inlet, South Carolina.
