Coastal Cancer Center’s Genesis Radiation Oncology Expansion Brings Community-Centric Cancer Care to Myrtle Beach
Coastal Cancer Center is proud to announce the expansion of community cancer care access with the recent procurement of two Genesis Radiation Oncology sites in Myrtle Beach.
“We’re acquiring the assets of the two Genesis Care Radiation Oncology sites in Myrtle Beach and Conway to create a powerhouse in comprehensive cancer care! Continuing our mission of providing leading community cancer care promises a brighter future for cancer patients across Myrtle Beach and the surrounding areas we serve,” shares Dr. Emily Touloukian, Board Certified Hematologist, Oncologist, and President of Coastal Cancer Center.
The vision of Coastal Cancer Center is to form a centralized cancer center for patients to access cutting-edge medical and radiation oncology services along with convenient diagnostic services, lab work, and on-site oral pharmacy services. As a result, patients experience seamless care, reduced inconvenience, and better outcomes.
This purchase announcement comes closely on the heels of Coastal Cancer Center (CCC) partnering with the national entity, OneOncology. OneOncology is a network of the nation’s leading community oncology practices, bringing the latest cancer research and treatment options to patients close to home. “We chose to become a part of One Oncology to further our dedication to physician-driven community cancer access and connect to national resources that transform the patient experience for the better. Including Radiation Oncology under our unified umbrella is an excellent example of that empowerment,” explains Dr. Touloukian.
The previously Genesis Radiation Oncology will now be Coastal Cancer Center Radiation Oncology. Coastal Cancer Center Radiation Oncology will continue to be led by three highly skilled Radiation Oncologists, Drs. Patrick Francke, Stephen Anderws and David Zaenger, an experienced Radiation Oncology administrator, and a team of thirty passionate individuals. Conveniently located radiation facilities in Myrtle Beach and Conway, CCC Radiation Oncology is equipped with four linear accelerators and two CT Simulators for advanced treatment options. “Combining our diverse expertise translates to improved treatment options with a more comprehensive and personalized patient experience.”
The official opening of CCC Radiation Oncology occured February 1, 2024. Work is underway to ensure a seamless integration and a vibrant new chapter for the combined Coastal Cancer Center workforce.
